The Making of Corona Plaza, Queens is my directorial documentary that chronicles the transformation of a public space in the heart of one of New York City's most vibrant immigrant communities. The film delves into the collaborative efforts of residents, activists, artists, street vendors, city officials, and cultural institutions in reimagining a neglected urban area into a thriving communal plaza.

Through intimate interviews and observational storytelling, the documentary highlights the socio-economic, cultural, and political impacts of this community-driven project. It underscores the significance of public spaces as vital hubs for civic engagement and cultural expression, especially within immigrant neighborhoods.

By focusing on personal narratives, the film not only showcases the physical transformation of Corona Plaza but also reflects on the challenges and triumphs of marginalized communities in asserting their presence and voice in urban development.
